The word Skapa means “to create” and we hope that in the end we can provide a product people are proud to own.

So elcome to the world of Skapa Designs, here we craft our custom sunglasses with each piece being completely manufactured in house. Nestled in the heart of Newcastle, NSW Australia, our small business is dedicated to providing a product that is of the highest quality and as unique as the individuals who wear them.

What sets our aluminium sunglasses apart is not just their durability and sleek design, but the stories they carry. Each pair tells a tale of innovation and ingenuity, born from a passion for creating something truly exceptional. From the initial spark of inspiration to the final polish, we pour our hearts into every step of the process, ensuring that each pair is a perfect in its own right, with the final design having undergone iteration after iteration to finally come out the other side in the state it is now.

Starting in 2018 as a 2 man show with a fledgling 3d design business with little to no clue what they were doing, Adrian and Luke worked in a tiny office with slow computers and 3d printers. They slowly but surely gained the knowledge and direction they wanted and transitioned into manufacturing and CNC machining, and after a few years wandering in the world of car restoration and one off machine jobs, they were joined by Adrian’s brother Will who added some much needed experience and capabilities. They now operate a CNC machine shop under the moniker “Cobalt CNC’’ which we then moved our own creations over to thier own space called “Skapa Designs” .
